The Wine The Wine

Region:Victoria - Yarra Valley
This is a very serious bottle of chardonnay. It is a wine that can stand up, in our opinion, to some of the very finest examples the wine world has to offer. From Puligny in Burgundy to the Russian River Valley in the US. It is the balance and intensity that makes it stand out. A wine that seamlessly weaves toasty oak with ripe stone fruits and wonderful orchard fruit freshness. It has complexity and finesse combined perfectly. In short this is a very, very good bottle of Yarra Valley Chardonnay from one of the region's very best producers.

Sarah Crowe
Yarra Yering is one of the oldest and most stunning vineyards in Victoria's Yarra Valley. Founded in 1969 by the visionary Dr Bailey Carrodus, it made waves with its very first vintage in 1973, producing the iconic Dry Red Wine No. 1 and No. 2. Renowned for its exceptional quality and unique character, Yarra Yering swiftly earned international acclaim, setting a high bar for other wineries in the Yarra Valley to follow.
"We look for finesse in all our wines and here have combined it with what we'd describe as pillowy fruit weight. This is a wine that has depth and texture coupled with a green apple crunch. It has great energy, ample weight and extraordinary carry. The fruit is supported by an extremely fine-grained oak tannin framework which lingers on the finish." - Sarah Crowe, Winemaker.
