A delicious mixture of spicy red berry fruit with dense and jammy blackcurrant compote, all wrapped up and softened by a layer of classy, sweet vanilla oak creating a complex, high-end Cape red with a rich, long and well-balanced finish. The grapes come from a couple of top-class vineyard sites in the exceptional Swartland region and are made into an impressive and impactful red by winemaker Alecia Boshoff, one of South Africa's very best.

Alecia Boshoff
Alecia started her career as assistant winemaker after completing her BSc (Agric) Viticulture and Oenology degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 2002. She gained valuable international winemaking skills during harvests in Australia, France and the USA, before returning to South Africa. Her passion for Swartland (she is a born-and-bred Swartlander) can be seen in her dedication to the terroir and wines from this region.
"On the blending table at the winery, we to set out to craft a red that was full bodied and rich, always with the aim to keep the varietal black fruit and spice of Shiraz at the core. We used some lovely barrel-aged components to add some depth and round out the finish and the result is a classy expression of our Swartland vineyards." - Alecia Boshoff, Winemaker.
