The Wine The Wine
Argentina
Region:Mendoza
We recently embarked on a project with Norwich University of the Arts whereby we engaged with a crop of current students to develop a brand and design a label to go alongside it. They then headed into our HQ to present, and we whittled the options down to a select few. 'Rogue Robin' was one that stood out, and we knew that this Malbec would capture the wonderful concept behind the story and design. Winemaker Stephen Huse began his career on Wall Street, but he retrained as a winemaker to follow his true passion. Since then, he has flown across oceans and worked at prestigious estates in Bordeaux, Napa and Chile before settling in Argentina. Rogue Robin is his quintessential Malbec, erupting with blackberry, damson and raspberry fruit, dark chocolate and toasted coconut.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Stephen Huse
Stephen Huse trained in oenology at the University of Bordeaux. Before establishing Belhara Estate he worked within the winemaking team at the highly esteemed Châteaux Margaux and Mouton-Rothschild, as well as at Harlan Estate and Merryvale Vineyards in the Napa Valley and Almaviva (Concha y Toro) in Chile.
"The climate in Mendoza is characterized by dry, sunny weather with a significant temperature difference between day and night, which creates optimal conditions for ripening Malbec and creating superb wines. Rogue Robin is bold and juicy with notes of blackberry, plum, sweet spice and chocolate on the finish." - Stephen Huse, Winemaker.
