The Wine The Wine
Australia
Region:Margaret River
This is an exceptional example of a Sauvignon Semillon blend from some of Western Australia’s prized vineyards in the Margaret River region. It is crisp and inviting on the nose with aromatics of gooseberry and freshly squeezed lemon juice. The palate is delightfully fresh with notes of nectarine and green mango, finishing on an intriguing and engaging note of dried herbs.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Andréa Maxwell
Andréa grew up in South Africa and completed her degree in Viticulture & Oenology at the University of Stellenbosch. Her love for wine developed early, starting a wine course while still in school. After two vintages in South Africa, she moved to Australia and has been ingrained in the industry since. In her spare time, she enjoys walking with her partner and their gorgeous English Cocker Spaniel, Darcy, through their own Shiraz vineyard in the heart of McLaren Vale.
“If you talk about wine, it doesn’t matter what language you speak. It will intrinsically connect you to people.”
"This blend changes each harvest so that we keep a consistent style but always showcase the best that each season has to offer. For this release, after numerous trial blends, we settled on a 50/50 split of each variety. Big on fruit and layered with spice and with a long, well-structured finish." - Andréa Maxwell, Winemaker.
