Region:Alsace
An excellent Pinot Gris showcasing its most attractive and engaging characters. Spicy overtones combine with peach and apricot fruit and develop into a rich and rounded palate which is dry and very well balanced. The sand and stone soil (Sables et Galets) structure is well suited to this variety and is long admired for giving finished wines a little extra 'oomph' as well as a delicate smoky character which makes it very food-friendly or an exciting and interesting choice as an aperitif!
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Daniel Gerold
Originating from Alsace, Daniel Gerold was introduced to wine by his father, which eventually inspired him to follow a path towards a career in the industry. After his winemaking studies, Daniel travelled across Burgundy, Champagne and New Zealand, gaining a wide-ranging knowledge of grape varieties, terroirs and techniques. In 2020, he headed back to the Alsace and started to work at Cave de Turckheim.
"A complex nose of ripe stone fruits, especially apricots, and a rich palate that fills the mouth before crisper citrus fruit takes charge and leads you on the elegant and lasting aftertaste." - Daniel Gerold, Winemaker.
