The Wine The Wine
Australia
Region:Barossa Valley
An innovative and somewhat experimental combination of two quite contrasting grape varieties. The resulting wine is luscious, plush and utterly delicious with a finish that is framed by firm, elegant tannins which make it wonderfully drinkable right away, but it’ll also evolve a little in bottle. Expect aromas of mulberry, black cherry, red cherry and a delicate perfume of rose and ripening strawberries. Two Kings is a stunner and we hope you love it as much as we do.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Andréa Maxwell
Andréa grew up in South Africa and completed her degree in Viticulture & Oenology at the University of Stellenbosch. Her love for wine developed early, starting a wine course while still in school. After two vintages in South Africa, she moved to Australia and has been ingrained in the industry since. In her spare time, she enjoys walking with her partner and their gorgeous English Cocker Spaniel, Darcy, through their own Shiraz vineyard in the heart of McLaren Vale.
“If you talk about wine, it doesn’t matter what language you speak. It will intrinsically connect you to people.”
"The blend works well, Shiraz offering plush fruit, plum and blueberries with the addition of Graciano providing pretty raspberry notes and a punch of spice. Round, juicy palate, fruit-forward and easy-drinking." - Andréa Maxwell, Winemaker.
