Le Jardin de Queyron Pindefleurs comes from a 12-hectare estate located at the foot of the southern slopes of Saint-Émilion. It has been in the hands of the Fillon family since 1937, and has been managed since 2010 by the current generation: Chantal and her husband Peter Watts. This vintage is very expressive with aromatics of raisin, prune, caramel, strawberry compote and spice, all of which linger from the first sip, long into the finish. This wine is very complete with a delicious balance between poised acidity and smooth, silky tannins. It’s no wonder Decanter gave this wine a bronze medal and 88 points!
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Peter Watts
Following a career in banking and finance in Sydney, Australia, Peter moved the family to Saint-Émilion in 2010 to take over the family winery of his wife, Chantal. Peter has been hands-on in the vineyard and winery operations. He can be found anywhere with the team, from working on his tractor in the vineyard, filling barrels in the winery, preparing orders, to tasting and blending wines with the oenologists.
"A brilliant, 100% Merlot wine. Cellar-aged without using any oak to express pure notes of fresh fruit and strawberry. The mouthfeel is soft and well balanced with fine tannins." - Peter Watts, Winemaker.
