Uniquely blended for our Wine Advisor team and their customers, the Meio Tronco is an excellent expression of the delicately floral but vibrant white wines of this northern region in Portugal. Ana is completely dedicated to making the very best quality from her small vineyards, achieving this through low yields, a commitment to sustainable practices in the vineyard and meticulous attention to detail in the winery. 2022 was a very good year for Loureiro here, which dominates the blend, and a splash of Alvarinho (Albariño) rounds out the structure and introduces a refreshing maritime note on the nose and finish.

Quintas do Homem is one of those estates that immediately captivates you with its charm, its passion and dynamism. This is embodied by its winemaker, Ana Coutinho, who continually identifies parcels within the estate that can give her the precise varietal character that she wants leading to ever more defined wines. She started making wine in 2001 (but her first harvest was in 1998) and she delights in the challenge and creativity of winemaking.
