The Wine The Wine
France
Region:Loire
Crafted from a base of the region's leading red variety, Cabernet Franc, which makes up a minimum of 60% of the blend, with the remaining percentage fulfilled by Pinot Noir. They form a formidable duo in this very classy Loire crémant rosé, which expresses a nose of bright red berry fruit with a gentle savoury character adding complexity. The overall impression is one of delicacy and it should be served nice and chilled in your best flutes.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
François Régis de Fougeroux
Originally from the Loire, François grew up on his parents' farm where he quickly became passionate about nature, hunting and of course wines. He also went to discover new horizons, spending time in Argentina, Brazil and a very impressive and unforgettable experience in an Australian Winery (Petaluma in the Adelaide area). Both a biology and finance graduate, he joined Langlois-Château in 2001 as Production Manager. In 2008, Michel Villedey (Managing Director since 1973) decided to retire and asked François to succeed him. Since then he has continued his work, working with the whole team, to establish Langlois-Château as the ultimate winery of the Loire Valley.
"I love this wine's delicate red berry characters and its ability to be enjoyed on its own or paired with berry fruit desserts." - François Régis de Fougeroux, Winemaker.
