The Wine

Country of origin:

France

Region:

Rhône - Côtes du Rhône

Soleil, Pierres et Vent is the working title for a bold project in the Rhône Valley. It is our flagship range, carefully assembled using small parcels of truly exceptional wines, expressing the unique characters of each appellation, showcasing the very best this classic French region has to offer. A harmonious wine showing ripe stone fruit and floral hints, wonderfully structured with masses of drinkability.

The Winemaker

Julien Dugas
Winemaker:

Julien Dugas

Julien is a real 'man on the ground', spending any available day out of the winery in the vines with his growers keeping in close contact with the fruit which, in his opinion (and ours), is key to making great wine.

"We use a combination of wines crafted in stainless steel and those that have had 6 months on French oak to create a wine that has exceptional freshness, but the structure only obtained by some time in oak. I love serving this as an aperitif chilled all year round or with roast turkey and chicken in the colder months." - Julien Dugas, Winemaker.
