The Gers region in southeastern France has terroir that is rich and varied, but it is the clay and limestone soils in the northeast of the region that are prized for top-class gooseberry and cut-grass laden Sauvignon Blanc. To complete this wine, we added a little drop from a parcel of vines that yields grapes that are a touch richer with more tropical fruit characters, giving the finished wine a little natural sweetness and roundness on the finish.
