Once defined by its light and spritzy green wines, in the last decade Vinho Verde has undergone something of a revolution. Producers like Quitas do Homem have been making top-end examples which are less frivolous and a lot more polished. This is a perfect example of this progression: pure and elegant at its core. An aromatic nose filled with fresh lime citrus, tropical fruit and a touch of green herbs. This is followed by a live and vibrant acidity on the palate with a long and persistent finish.

Quintas do Homem is one of those estates that immediately captivates you with its charm, its passion and dynamism. This is embodied by its winemaker, Ana Coutinho, who continually identifies parcels within the estate that can give her the precise varietal character that she wants leading to ever more defined wines. She started making wine in 2001 (but her first harvest was in 1998) and she delights in the challenge and creativity of winemaking.
