If you want the real deal, there's no point buying the cheap supermarket Chablis. Frankly, you're better off with a good, basic Bourgogne Blanc. Described by Chablis authority Andrew Jefford as "a domaine to follow", this wine, from the 6th generation of the Moreau 'dynasty', is robust, rich and intensely fresh.

Anchored in the Chablis soil for six generations, the Moreau family is today one of the most highly esteemed wine proprietors thanks to their quality wines from vineyards in the most prestigious appellations. No oak is used in their wine, either during vinification or in ageing, so is a typical example of a quality Chablis Premier Cru.
