Château du Seuil’s rosé weaves tradition with modern flair. The estate was founded by Welsh couple Bob and Sue Watts before being passed to their daughter Nicola and her New Zealand-born winemaker husband, Sean. In 2021, family friend and 8th-generation winemaker Charles Medeville took over winemaking and management, bringing his expertise and passion to the fore. Crafted from Merlot with free-run juice and direct pressing, this rosé is stainless steel fermented for vibrant freshness. Aromatic and elegant, it’s ideal as an aperitif or paired with food, perfect all year round.

Charles Medeville
Charles Medeville proudly represents the 8th generation of winemakers in his family. After studying both law and the wine trade, his curiosity drew him to the art of winemaking. Following several harvests, and with the trust placed in him by longtime acquaintances Nicola and Sean Allison, he assumed responsibility for Château du Seuil in 2021, overseeing its cellars and vines. His winemaking philosophy revolves around honouring his terroir and the traditions of winemaking, while incorporating modern innovations.
