Good white Bordeaux at this price is hard to find but we've done it. Chateau du Seuil has created this golden delight from 70% Semillon, 30% Sauvignon and is fermented in new oak. It's full, fresh and fruity, with an aromatic nose and glows golden in your glass. If you think you've tried white Bordeaux, think again! It's a great little vegan option, but also goes well with shellfish or deli meats and will age for up to five years.
The Winemaker The Winemaker
Charles Medeville
Charles Medeville proudly represents the 8th generation of winemakers in his family. After studying both law and the wine trade, his curiosity drew him to the art of winemaking. Following several harvests, and with the trust placed in him by longtime acquaintances Nicola and Sean Allison, he assumed responsibility for Château du Seuil in 2021, overseeing its cellars and vines. His winemaking philosophy revolves around honouring his terroir and the traditions of winemaking, while incorporating modern innovations.
"The Semillon element is partially fermented in new French oak barrels using the Oxoline system and bottled 6-9 months after the harvest. It is a wine that will develop interesting flavours with bottle age and will keep for up to 5 years.
