We had to visit Monsieur Girard personally and beg him to let us have any of this rare red. Made from Pinot Noir, it has a fine and restrained style that is delicate but ultimately delicious if you're not a blockbuster-style person. One of the truly great food wines that can be matched to both red and white meat and, believe it or not, cheese. We've only got a handful of cases, so get it while you can. You'll have to bargain with M. Girard yourself if we run out!

With our vineyards stretching across some of the finest soils in the entire Loire Valley making good wine would come easily to us. But we are not here to make good wine, we are here to make great wine! It is that which leads us to reduce our crop to the barest minimum, it is that which keeps us harvesting by hand and it is that which makes us use only expensive temperature controlled steel fermentation vats. Great wine is always a union of man and nature and that is what we try to achieve.
Produced from 100% Pinot Noir, this voluptuous wine, rich in red and black fruit flavours, has a hint of wild undergrowth and a satisfying, fleshy finish. Finding a red Sancerre is quite rare and finding one of this quality is rarer still!
