This is a robust, bold and formidable whisky and is an evolution of the Dalmore house style given a unique flavour profile from a period of ageing in 30-year-old Matusalem Oloroso Sherry Butts! These rare casks have previously housed very fine dry Oloroso sherry which is then blended with Pedro Ximenez and then further aged. Maturing Dalmore in these casks adds layers of rich raisin fruit, fig notes with a finish marked by crisp citrus fruits and rich molasses.
Master Distiller Master Distiller
Master Distiller Richard Paterson, inspired by the vision of Dalmore's founder, Sir Alexander Matheson, and the achievements of the Mackenzie family who came before him, is a pioneer in the art of cask curation. He is admired across the globe for his passion and innovative flair and, throughout these 50 years, Richard has been on a mission to push the boundaries of what is possible in whisky production. His unparalleled expertise and intimate knowledge of rare and precious casks held in The Dalmore cellars have produced truly iconic whiskies of untold complexity and class.
