This is an exceptional bottle of whisky from one of Scotland's most exciting and innovative distilleries. Their signature style focusses on plenty of ripe tropical fruit which sits at the core of their whiskies and the long maturation in ex-bourbon casks has enriched the dense mango and fresh pineapple character with notes of spiced pear, freshly roasted coffee, and creamy toffee. The initial flavours give way to morello cherry, red plum, and treacle with a long and luscious finish.
The Distillery The Distillery
Located in the foothills of Scotland's Cairngorms, the Fettercairn Distillery has access to exceptionally pure water. Not only do they use this as a key ingredient in their whisky making they also use it to cool their copper still whilst in operation, which adds condensation on the inside ensuring only the finest vapours can rise to the top for collection! The development of this process has led to a signature style showing wonderful floral notes with plenty of stone and tropical fruit.
