After leaving the stillhouse, the new spirit begins its often lengthy journey towards maturation. For Bowmore's 15 year old single malt the first 12 years are spent in old bourbon casks. The final three years are then spent in old sherry oloroso casks under the roof of their famous No.1 Vaults on the edge of Loch Indaal. A marvellously rich and deeply coloured Scotch. Classic Bowmore smokiness with raisins and dark chocolate notes.
