The Spirit

Country of origin:

France

Region:

Cognac

Founded in 1905 Maison Tesseron is still family owned today and is now in the care of 3rd generation family member, Alfred Tesseron. He continues a fine tradition of producing top-class brandy that are rarely released before having aged for a minimum of 10 years in the finest French Limousin oak casks. The Lot No. 90 expression is a minimum of 15 years old and is a classic example of perfectly aged Cognac. With fresh orchard fruit on the nose that soon expand into notes of dried fruit, nuts and gentle herbaceous characters. Delicately swirl and appreciate this fine French spirit as it slowly opens and develops in your glass.

The Distillery

Tesseron

Maison Tesseron produces some of the finest expressions of aged Cognac, yet even today flies a little under the radar. Which is why we love it that little bit more. With a collection of excellent vineyards planted across the region in the crus of Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Fins Bois they excel in crafting a range that is pretty much exclusively of XO age and some of their reserves date back to the early 19th Century and consist of Cognacs made in the times before phylloxera ravaged the vineyards of Europe.

The Perfect Serve

Tesseron Lot No. 90 XO Ovation

Best served as a digestif in a traditional balloon glass as a double measure, with two or three ice cubes to help bring out the complexity and character of this exceptional French brandy.
